These Terms of Service explain how you may use the Takoma Gardener website, a home garden tool shop for beginner and hobbyist gardeners. Please read them together with our Shop Policies, Returns & Refunds, and Privacy Policy.

Using this website

Use the site lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not attempt to access another person’s account, introduce malicious code, interfere with site security or availability, or submit fraudulent or unlawful information. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using the site.

Accounts and information you provide

Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. When purchasing becomes available, provide accurate contact and delivery details and use only payment methods you are authorized to use. You must be legally able to enter into a purchase agreement under the law that applies to you.

Products, prices, and future orders

The preview catalog is illustrative. Product descriptions, images, prices, and availability may change before the shop opens. A sample listing or test checkout does not create an order for fulfillment.

When purchasing opens, review the product details, currency, shipping charges, taxes, and total before submitting an order. Any additional purchase conditions will be presented before you place the order. We will not increase the agreed price of a submitted order without your agreement. If an item cannot be supplied, we will explain the available options and refund any payment for canceled, unfulfilled items.

Shipping, cancellations, and returns

The Shop Policies page explains planned payment, shipping, and cancellation arrangements. The Returns & Refunds page explains the planned 30-calendar-day change-of-mind return window, unused-item condition, return costs, and treatment of damaged, faulty, or incorrect goods.

If we cannot ship within the promised or legally required timeframe, we will explain the delay and provide the required choice to wait or cancel for a refund of unshipped merchandise. Your mandatory consumer rights apply regardless of the wording of these terms.

Garden guidance and product safety

General garden tips on this site are informational. Conditions vary by location, plant, and tool. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety warnings, use suitable protective equipment, and keep sharp tools away from children. General site guidance does not replace the instructions supplied with a product.

Website content

Website text, branding, photographs, and other materials may be protected by intellectual property rights belonging to Takoma Gardener or their respective owners. You may browse and use the site for personal shopping and reference. Obtain permission before reproducing or distributing protected material, except where the law permits that use.
